Neck and Shoulder Pain
Often, we think of neck and shoulder pain as being a singular condition. But did you know they can sometimes be two entirely different things. Some people experience neck pain or just shoulder pain. While others experience discomfort in both areas simultaneously.
Both shoulder injury and neck injuries can lead to difficulty when moving, especially when trying to turn your head to the side or rotate the shoulders. This type of pain may also be accompanied by a tension headache as well as the possibility of arm pain. This level of neck and shoulder pain is when you need to turn the entire body as opposed to a simple rotation of the neck when trying to look sideways. Symptoms typically last for a few days and can include sharp pain, and soreness in the neck region and sensation and deep pain within the shoulder. Any prolonged neck and shoulder pain should be discussed with a medical professional, as it can be a sign of a more serious medical condition.
